Nicki Sun - Executive Reporter

In addition to reporting, hosting, editing, and filming for AggieTV, Nicki Sun is a freelance reporter, UC Davis marketing intern, and also hosts for SFStationTV.

Her interviewing credits include MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crews, Quest Crew and Fanny Pak; MissCarolinexoxo, Paul Dateh, WongFuProductions, Tim Be Told, Thomas’ Apartment, Vieux Farka Toure; extensive coverage for San Francisco’s 2009 Outside Lands Music Festival, interviewing Portugal.The Man, Akron/Family, Autolux, J.J. Grey & Mofro, Albino!, and Extra Golden; and co-hosting APA’s “Save a Life” benefit concert with HEROES actor, James Kyson Lee (Ando).

Prior to joining AggieTV, Nicki served as a resident advisor, co-founded UC Davis’ first communication student organization (CSO), and continues to be a strong supporter of cancer research and a leader in the UC Davis movement of The SOLD Project to end child prostitution around the world.

A true, jack-of-all-trades, Nicki continues her passion as an entertainer in music and arts as a vocalist, pianist, guitarist, violinist, and actress while continuing to be a leader in her community, receiving an Outstanding Community Service Award and the Margarita Robinson Award in Spring 2009.

She thanks AggieTV and her internship with the CW Television Network for equipping her with the skills needed in media production both behind and in front of the camera.

She aspires to be the next E! Entertainment Tonight Host.

Nicki Sun Interviews Quest Crew for AADP

Executive reporter, Nicki Sun, got to chill with America's Best Dance Crew Season 3 winners, Quest Crew, in their very own hotel room in San Francisco. We got to sit down and have a very casual interview while also plugging a very important cause about the critical shortage of minorites who are registered bone marrow donors, especially in the Asian American community. A mix of all Asian cultures (japan, Korea, Chinese, Taiwanese, Philipino...), Quest Crew really is the epitamy of an all-Asian dance group.

Although this video was done on behalf of the Asian American Donor Program, which Nicki is also a part of, AggieTV couldn't pass up this great opportunity to hang with the hottest dance group around!

STEP Talent Show

Welcome to the 2009 STEP variety talent show! With two awesome hosts leading the night and amazing talent that kept the crowd entertained in Wyatt Pavillion, STEP continues to further prove why it is such a crucial and beneficial program for students.

The Special Transitional Enrichment Program houses 200 students from different backgrounds in order to provide assistance and resources to students who may not necessarily be able to attend a UC Davis orientation due to costs. With a family-oriented feel and friendships that last throughout the years, STEP exists to break down barriers and welcome students to UC Davis.
